What Is "Blogging" for Me?

I've been asked the question multiple times before, "Why did you start blogging?" I usually reply with something along the lines of, "It's a place for me to share my life song."

I began to really think... What is my "life song?" What is blogging, to me?

Blogging, to me:
  • A place where I can share my love for the south and all things southern- thus Southern Komfort Blog
  • An outlet to talk about what has been going on in my life that is good or has brought me joy - I don't like to share my life "issues" or "personal problems" on the blog. I have reserved those conversations for my future husband, close friends, and family.
    • Side note: Am I bragging about the good things in my life? No, I simply just don't think some of my issues are privy of everybody's attention. If I want to make it your business, I will reach out to you.
  • Share all things wedding!! Sorry guys, I'm really excited about this time in our lives and I cannot wait to share the adventures we go through. I promise, I'll try to keep the wedding talk to a once per week thang... Key word is "try."
  • If I make something I love, cook something that's good, experience a fun adventure... You bet it's going on the blog!
  • This here space is a way for my friends and family that I don't get to talk to on a daily basis to keep up with me. I'm going 90 miles a minute, ya'll!
  • Most importantly, I love that this blog is a way for me to share my faith with any and all who happen to read it.
So when I really sat down and thought about what blogging is to me, those few things came to mind. I love SoKo blog and all the joy it has brought me. I love the friendships I've made. I love the stories I've read. I love the fact that I can save poor Hunter's ears (and sanity) from having to hear ALL that is on my mind... ha!

In essence, blogging is my place to just be me!

Thinking about the future of the blog and where it might go, I honestly have no idea! I would love to continue this blog for years and eventually morph it into a place where I can share my ideas, struggles, and triumphs as a wife and mother some day.

Ya'll willing to hang with me?
