#GratefulHeartMonday

Grateful Heart Monday

Did that weekend fly by or what?! I blinked, it was 5:00 Friday afternoon. I blinked again and I'm staring at 8:00am this Monday morning.

That's okay though! Becaussseeeeeeeeee Emily at Ember Grey has reminded us to appreciate Monday's, and every day for that matter. Have ya'll stopped by her blog? Oh, you haven't? Why are you still here? Go stop by and visit with one of the sweetest gals around.

This Monday, I'm going to be cliche and sappy, in way. In the past week, a couple of my long-time prayers were answered. One specifically being the 4 year prayer that I've been praying in regards to my housing situation.

Let me give ya'll some history:
  • I got engaged young (yes, dumb, I know)
  • My former fiance and I bought a house together hoping it would be better than renting (yes, dumb, I know)
  • I ended the relationship altogether (the best decision I have made in my life)
Over the last few years, I have been through hell and back with trying to get this house in my name alone, while trying to avoid being foreclosed on. Needless to say, the former fiance did everything in his power to make these hoops appear.

BUT. God heard my prayers. He saw my tears. He reminded me to be patient, and kind, and forgiving.

Ladies and gents, I am officially the owner of my home and I can breathe easy. Because of the amount of stress I experienced during this time, I truly feel like I can breath easy again. Let me put it to you this way - Hunter was not exposed to the amount of stress I dealt with in this issue, and he knows me better than anybody. Yes, he knew the situation and supported me in any way he could. But he didn't see all the tears I cried, the prayers I screamed, and the hope to one day be over this.

And that day has come. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and love to those who loved me during those times; to those who carried me when I fell; and for the good Lord and His guiding hand through all of this.

I am eternally grateful.
