Honeymoon: Gatlinburg, TN

courtesy of Google

We are so excited to be traveling to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon! The mountains, beautiful creeks and rivers, my man... What more could I ask for??

We're so excited to be taking in the sites and smells, go white-water rafting, shopping at the adorable shops in Pigeon Forge, and possibly do a little fishing.

We are also planning to visit the local distillery and brewery there. Hello apple pie moonshine!

We're also considering taking a trip over to Dollywood. There's just so much to do and not enough eyeballs to see it all!

So my question to ya'll is this: What are some other fun things to do in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area?

  1. Yeah!! That's close to where we got married. Make sure to stop in Sevierville - they have lots of cool stuff if I remember correctly. ALSO - there's supposed to be some awesome zip lining too. So excited for you guys!

  2. Kelly, you will be in my neck of the woods!!! Well where I used to live. I am so excited to see you are going to the mountains. Even if you are not a gambler, you will have to take a trip over to Cherokee to Harrah's Casino and at least eat the buffet! It is amazing!! Also, Hillbilly Golf is super fun too! Yay!

  6. Y'all have to go to Cades Cove and see all the wild deer and bear. Plus it is Gorgeous. We always make sure we take the time to do this when we got to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge. We used to always get season passes to DollyWood. My son was actually used on video of one of their rides..the Barnstormer. You will love DollyWood. Make sure you go-kart race too. Oh I could go on forever with things to do. I love it up there :)

  9. Sounds like so much fun! You guys will definitely be busy with all there is to see and do. It'll be so much fun to just relax and enjoy each other's company after the hectic-ness of the wedding planning. That's when the reality of your new life sets on and you realize just how good your life is with your husband by your side.
