Vacation Blues

Hello Monday-after-a-weeklong-vacation! Our time spent at the beach was so needed and loved in every sense of the word. I will say though, coming back to routine really does my little soul some good. We stayed in Mexico Beach, visited Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, Pier Park in Panama City Beach, and the famous 30A drive. We really are so fortunate to live just 1.5 hours from the coast. LOVE my state!

An honorary photo dump for your eyes to feast on while I try and get this next load of laundry going...

Memorial Day Shenanigans

Happy Memorial Day friends! And holla for a 3-day weekend for me. Gotta love a good, long weekend. Whether you're grilling out with family, digging your toes deeper into the sandy shores, or resting from a long week, always remember why we are celebrating Memorial Day.

We can celebrate Memorial Day because men and women have sacrificed their own lives so that you may live freely. Keep their family and friends in prayer on this day {and every day} as they continue to try and live life without that person. Thank the good Lord for their sacrifice!

In other news - we're counting down to our beach trip with my family to the Gulf Coast. Ya'll, words cannot fully describe the magnitude of our excitement to be slipping away. I love traveling anywhere but my heart and soul will always lie in the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico. We're eager for the easy days where the hardest decision will be which fruity drink will I choose today.

Praise be to Jesus {cue raised hands emoji}.

Would it be weird if I started packing now for the trip? No? Okay then, glad we're on the same page. Thank you Lord, for blessing me with a man who loves the beach almost as much as I do. Almost is the key word here.

Weekend Recap + Blogger Love

Image MapThis past weekend, Hunter and I were able to escape reality for a little while to the beach. Mexico Beach to be exact (read: our heaven on earth).

We went with Hunter's family and stayed in a gorgeous condo with his aunt and cousins. There were many games of Phase 10 (basically Rummy), puzzles were constructed, Mango-Ritas were consumed (this was my favorite part), and beautiful walks along the shoreline to collect seashells all took place. And the best part of the entire weekend was the fact that I purposefully left my cell phone in the condo while we were out soaking up some sun rays.

It was glorious!!

Our last night there, Hunter and I sat on the deck and just talked about life while the sun was setting. We remininsced on our 3.2 years together, and talked about the future. Have you ever had that one person that you can just sit and talk to about God-knows-what for hours on end, and feel like your soul is at such peace? That's how our relationship is - we can just sit and talk for hours, or simply just sit quietly while the world passes us by, taking it all in together.

And of course, a small photo op was needed. Just because.

Now for that blogger love I know ya'll are waiting on... Drum roll please....

Is this not the most darling print ever?? Kelly with Patient Resilience (she's got a great name - ha!) has an eye and a knack for artistic and funky styles for digital prints. When Kelly contacted me about her artwork, I just couldn't help myself while I was in her Etsy shop - I loved all of them!

The item pictured above is part of a greeting card and gift tag set in her shop. Purple is one of my favorite colors so I'm swooning over the different shades in the flower. I can already see these babies playing a part in the gifts Hunter and I will be giving to our helpers in our wedding.

Not only is her Etsy shop so fun, her blog is such a refreshing read. Kelly's postive and uplifting spirit through her writing is just my kind of style. Thank you Kelly for being a great inspiration to many!

If you would like to purchase a fun design, Kelly is now offering 10% off ! Just use the coupon code SOKOBLOG and you're all set!
